I tried..

Life doesn’t always go our way. Sometimes, the doors seem to shut in our face and we can find ourselves feeling hopeless, helpless or both! Take the time to feel the pain that follows with this. No one likes losing their control on the trajectory of their life and or going through difficult times. But when you’re done sitting with the pain, tap into your strength and practice hope and self-motivation as best as you can. Even if the ‘best’ that you can do, doesn’t reach your full potential, it is the best that you can do in that moment and that is enough. I think we all have this fear of failure, but failure is defined by our need to be perfect. Think about it, if we can’t do things right or perfectly then we assume failure instead of learning.

I’m going through a lot of turbulence at the moment in my life and most days I have moments where I just want to stop, sleep and hide away until it passes me by. But I also know, that if I were to give into that feeling of helplessness, then I will create a future for myself that will only be worse than what I’m experiencing now. So, little by little everyday I’m trying to understand this turbulence not as a threat but instead as a pinch, to remind me of the delicacy of life and the importance of gratitude.

I am going to try my best to get through this and I’m sure that I will learn a lot on the way, but for now, I need to keep on fighting because when this passes I want to say that I tried…

This is a poem dedicated to everyone who has felt overwhelmed, lost, confused, powerless, helpless, hopeless, defeated or scared. No matter what you are going through, you can get through it. Never stop trying…

They say fall,
But I’ll rise;
They say no,
But I ask why?
They say quit,
But I’ll survive;
They say stop,
But I’ll ride;
They say can’t,
But I’ll try;
They feel pity,
But I’ve got pride;
They say sorry,
But I’m alright;
They look away,
But I look high;
They walk out,
But I fly;
They all quit,
But I fight;
They all left,
But I won’t hide;
They all fell,
But I’m upright;
They say it’s truth,
But I know lies;
They all fake,
But I won’t hate;
They all lost,
But I trust,
That when you try,
You might still cry,
But in the end,
You can say you tried!

Love Always,

M
