Every day there are choices we make, automatically, without much thought. There is so much we experience as a result of the ripple effect of reacting and responding to the pebbles that hit our surface. Every day, we have to go through ups and downs, round and rounds, and find ourselves back at square one.
So what makes every day special? What makes it different to the next? Every day, all you have to do is take one moment to become aware and present of the very moment you’re in and nothing more. If you can do that for just one moment extra every day, then you will be able to make each day more precious than the last.
Tomorrow, there will be more autopilot responses and more go with the flows than there will be moments of being here in the now. But that’s ok, because every day will bring with it the opportunity for effort, for learning and for trying a little harder. That is all that we can expect of ourselves, that is all that we need to do.
