Some people are full of high vibrations and energy, this often manifests itself in the form of enthusiasm and optimism. I am currently privileged enough to cross paths with an individual who injects life into me every time she comes by. She is the cleaner in the place that I’m currently staying, she comes around once a week on Monday mornings and she brings her energy, enthusiasm and joy.
She is by far the best cleaner I’ve come across in my life but what makes her amazing at her job is the energy and enthusiasm that she brings to it. She takes pride in what she does and she shows up week after week with the intent to do her best and she kills it. Though I thank her multiple times while I see her, I don’t think she really understands that she doesn’t just clean the studio, she cleanses my energy and injects enthusiasm into me.
No wonder why research has shown it only takes one enthusiastic person in the team to uplift performance. Because enthusiasm is infectious and for me it always leaves me with a sense of high, it removes all the anxiety, worry, obstacles, what if’s and No’s. All that is left, is this revitalised energy that brings with it hope, optimism and possibility.
I feel so incredibly honoured to cross paths with her every week and I really hope that I can develop a friendship with her that goes beyond her current role and our interactions; because she’s the type of person that we all need in our lives. She’s the kind of person that we all can heal and grow with, she’s incredible.
It is in our interactions that I become so aware of how low my energy has dropped. I have a friend like her, he’s in the US and it’s been years since I’ve seen him. But we occasionally talk over the phone and do video calls and he too is full of enthusiasm for life and energy that just takes over every time we interact. It’s people like them that make the world a more beautiful place because they remind you what life is all about and they help you remove all the distractions so that you can clearly differentiate between what brings you joy and what is noise.
I wanted to tribute this to her, to him and to anyone that brings this level of energy and enthusiasm every day to those around them. Thank you for sharing your high vibrations with the world, thank you for being the way that you are and thank you for injecting life back into those of us who have gotten distracted by all else.
