Battles

We all have our own stories. We are all going through some form of hardship and or have been through some adversity in our lives. It’s an inevitable part of life that no one talks about because we’re so culturally obsessed with being happy, gratified and or pleased. But the reality is that life is full of so many challenges and adversity that can often feel like they’re breaking us. But really, they’re just bending us because we are a resilient species that can get through all sorts of adversity and pain and still rise from the ashes; like the phoenix.

Let us not forget, that we all have the right to go through our journey’s however we can best manage and there is no need for judgement. Being compassionate, empathetic and kind is part of our nature and we just need to remember to practice it more and more so that we can have open hearts that love unconditionally. Our egos have been ruling the world for long enough and I think most of us recognise that it hasn’t resulted in the outcomes that we collectively deserve. Little by little in every corner of the world we can make a difference with how we choose to show up for ourselves and for those around us. So choose love, choose kindness and never forget that we all have our own stories.

Battles:

Please don’t judge me,

I’m really trying,

I’m desperately hiding,

All the thoughts,

All the mental blocks,

I am hoping that I can overcome them,

I am fighting and becoming stronger,

Don’t ask me what led me down this path,

The answers will only make me mad,

Please don’t lose your patience,

I am trying to be gracious,

I’ve worked tirelessly on the voices,

That tell me that I’m worthless,

I have lost many battles but I’ve not yet lost a war,

I will keep going ahead of this I’m sure,

Please be kind when you see my broken wings,

I used to fly but now I can only sing,

I don’t miss the days that I used to soar,

I focus on all the beautiful ways that I can still grow,

I know it will take time to heal from these wounds,

Please be here for me,

So that I can see it through.
