What is driving you today? In this moment, to what and who are you devoted to?
I am lost in my thoughts and my heart has closed up, so my mind feels the need to take control and guide us through. “If we do well at work and if we keep others happy, then all will be well” – that’s what it tries to convince me of. But is it true? Is this where I was going? At what point did I get lost and when did I decide that it’s too hard to go back?
When you swim in the sea of uncertainty it’s normal to have doubt consume you, like a shark that is chewing away at you. This is the power of the mind, it can destroy you solely because it can.
But there is something crucial to remember, that there is only one power stronger and greater than that of the mind and that is the soul. The light that is in the consciousness that we so easily cover and forget about. That light, it heals and it frees you. Despite always being there, it doesn’t readily step forward if you don’t lean into it. It requires you to be open to the unknown through the act of letting go. Letting go of all the beliefs that have constrained you and covered your eyes. It sounds so simple, yet this is not always easy. When you’re emeshed with your thoughts and fears and can’t see the line between your true self and the lies that you have come to accept as reality, it can be frightening to let them go. You question if you are letting go of yourself, because you are going against what you feel and how you percieve yourself. In a way we are letting go of ourselves, but only the versions which we have defined through our thoughts.
Be observent of all that goes on within and without you; be there when you go through the highs and the lows and notice. What is it that is driving you in that state? What can drive you away from constraints to empowerment? These moments are still the precious moments of our lives. These moments were made for us and for a purpose. What we do with them is up to us.
I will sit in the current fall not with fear, dread or disappointment, but with the knowing that after every fall there is a rise.
Love Always
