Ripples…

Every moment has a ripple effect on the next. We have so much influence over each other and we seldom pause to reflect on how much our way of being and doing impacts the whole world. It’s a ripple effect that we will never see or be able to measure in full, but it’s there and it’s powerful. So why do we never think about it? I suppose the type of world we have created is distracting us from the core of life, its meaning and the truth of Being.

These ripples start with us, we each have the power to start a ripple that is either made of love and joy or of pain and hurt. Most of us struggle to know how to heal through the pain that we’ve been dealt. This isn’t our fault, not individually that is. It’s a collective issue that needs to be resolved and until then more and more of us need to learn the hard way. Through greater consciousness and practice, we can get better creating awareness around our ripples and how to navigate life with more acceptance, forgiveness and joy. Step by step, practice by practice, that’s all that can be done.

It’s easy to feel overwhelmed and powerless in the face of the big world out there. It’s about taking small steps and not large leaps, so the only thing we need to be concerned about is how we can start cleansing our own hearts, minds and bodies. From there, we can start improving the quality of the ripples we put out into the world and will get much better at attracting ripples that are aligned to our new found energy of love and beauty.

I am going to be more observant of my own ripples, to see where I can improve my energy so that I am able to put out light and not pain. I am going to continue to heal my heart, mind and body from the past ripples that I’ve not allowed to go through me fully. It’s time to do an inventory on what I am carrying around with me and make deliberate and radical decisions around whether I need to be carrying them with me. I have been working hard on becoming more intentional about what I put out in the world and how I am setting out to BE. It’s a journey with no clear end or destination, we’re human and so our evolution is never-ending. One of the key lessons I’ve learned recently is how crucial it is to nourish my body through my diet, exercise and most importantly sleep. I’ve noticed that I am definitely unable to BE a version of me that is joyful and at peace without first loving my body and nurturing her.

So, that is where I will put my focus and remind myself that bad habits are hard to break but I’ve done this before and can do it again. I will keep myself focused on sending out more intentional ripples that I want to also receive back from others. Every single moment counts, no matter how small the effort is it is still impactful, every single second is enough as it is. There is no manual for this messiness, there is no cure, there is nothing to fix really, it’s just knowing how to get the balance right between holding on and letting go.

What kind of ripples do you want to send out into the world?

Love Always,

M
