Hindsight is so powerful, amazing how things make so much sense when you reflect back. You have a level of clarity that helps put everything into place and perspective. It can be hard not to be hard on ourselves when we reflect back on how we behaved, with the wisdom of that experience now. The arguments, the frustrations, the judgements, the criticism, the comparison, the envy, the worries etc. All of these are reactions to a moment based on the ego state being triggered and awaken by some belief / thought that we have learned.
But when you go through the moments, the ego releases and you are reflecting on what occurred you can see things for how they truly were. Giving you a level of wisdom, understanding and clarity that allows you to let go of everything that is petty and pointless. So what is needed to apply this wisdom in the moment as opposed to through hindsight? If we are capable of it at some point, what do we need to do in the moment to tap into this ability?
Pause. Presence. Purpose.
We are the writers of our stories, the directors of our own movies, the poets of our love story, the choreographers of our dance routines, and the painters of our own canvas. Yet we are unaware of the position we hold, unaware that we are the ones narrating our lives and that we have the option to make the story a positive one, instead of a dark one. We don’t have to blame others or the external world, instead we can be curious as to what foundations were needed for the certain experience to unfold. Despite being conscious beings, we operate so much of our life through our unconscious. Without the proactive willingness to learn who we are and how we are, we will continue under the spell of the unconscious beliefs.
By gaining this awareness we can let go of anything that is petty, that we won’t care about in a week, month, a year or 10. Why spend the currency of time on things that are not going to elevate us spiritually, mentally, psychologically, emotionally or intellectually? Day to day ‘frustrations’ are becoming the ringtone of our experiences; they are becoming the things that we identify most with. As opposed to the beauty around us, the love, the connection, the good and the opportunities. Our brains are wired to pick up on the negative things but our souls are made to seek to positive.
Elevate your thinking so that you can elevate your energy. Allow yourself to swim in the pool of joy that is your capacity to let go and Be. Let go of anything that pulls you away from your centre, from your grounded self and from your ability to remain calm and joyful.
Love Always,
M
