Evolution

Life, growth, love, pain, smiles, joy, laughter, rain, good days, bad days, good friends, bad friends, babies, youngsters, memories gained, break ups, romance, promotions, demotions, caterpillars, butterflies, humans, spirits, mother nature, clouds, oceans, war, peace, fear, dreams. All of these are just a number of things we will be exposed to througout our lifetime and which can and do usually result in some form of evolutionary growth of our spirit, our minds, our being or our energy.

This growth journey, this evolution, at times is so subtle that you don’t even notice it happening. But sometimes it’s so radical that you feel your insides are being torn apart and that you’re changing into a new person which may or may not be a better version of your prior self. This deep and internal change is something that we often have to go through alone; not because we don’t have loved ones around us but because it’s so intimate and so hard to articulate that often we can’t take others on this journey with us.

I’ve gone through many stages of evolution so far in my life and have no doubt that there are plenty more to come; but despite my prior experience, I still struggle to go through the motions without feeling all the loss, pain and or grief which it usually entails. But more often than not, if I stick through the uncomfortable change and growth, I tend to reach a point of pride, joy, acceptance and love that I hadn’t experienced before. Perhaps this is the purpose of evolution, to make you go through all the motions of being human and to help you understand your inner courage which you always underestimate.

What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger right? Well in my view it’s not making you stronger, it’s only unvailing your already existing strength and courage and making you realise that despite the challenges of life, despite the hard times, deep within you, you have the strength and courage to battle anything thrown your way. What a liberating discovery this is, to know that your freedom, your joy and your hope lies within your very being and if you remain patient and search within your soul during your moments of evolution, you will be able to overcome them with grace.

Of course, it’s not all fairies, unicorns and  rainbows. Throughout this journey you first get hit to the ground and for some it may take longer to get back up. When you’re down, remember it’s ok to be sad, defeated, scared, hopeless, alone or lost. But what you also need to remember is that all of these are momentary losses and not eternal. You can stay down amongst these feelings of defeat and swim in your sorrow; but what use is that to you and your spirit? At some point you owe it to yourself to get back up, to know that despite it all you will be your own hero and you will get through this growth journey.

Evolution is neccessary, sometimes it’s hard, sometimes it’s easy, sometimes it’s wanted and other times its not; but however or whenever you find yourself in the midst of evolution know that at the end of it, there is always growth and advancement. That in itself is the only hope you need.

Dream, love, hope, laughter, pain; drugs, smoke, friendships gained; money, loss, houses, homes; body, shops, rains, storms; blue skies, sun and light; all of which are parts of life.
Love Always,

Miss Dreamer
